The Shangri-La Green Pearls are cultivated organically in the tea area Ilam at an altitude of 1,700 m. Approximately 96 % of all Nepalese teas are grown in this popular region in the east of the country. The leaf is exclusively plucked following the quality principle of “One leaf and a bud”. After the harvest, the fresh leaves are carefully and gently withered for a short amount of time. Then, the leaves are rolled just a tiny bit by hand and brought into their unique shape by machines. Despite the distinctive green tea flavor, the green pearls surprise with a soft and floral freshness in the aftertaste. The infusion shines in emerald-silvery colors.
